Honey bees were entering through an A/C line into the floor joist of a residential home in Hilton Head, SC. The joists were insulated, making it hard to listen for the hum of the bees. The stud finder was running low on batteries, so I used small magnets to find the nail heads in the joists. This gives you a good indication of where to cut out the sheetrock. Found a nice size hive tucked up above the insulation.
Another honeybee hive safely relocated back to our apiary.
